Technology is a definite benefit... this helps with efficiency levels of customer service.

2. How did you get started in the flower industry?
I started floristry working part time in florist for pocket money. Dot Venter was an international judge and floral teacher. I worked and trained in her shop at Fourways to Flowers from the age of 15 years.

At training programs, entering competitions, Pinterest, Facebook pages from overseas organisations.

Tulips. Simple and elegant... and such a selection on colour.

5. What advice would you share for those wanting to become florists?
First study the business side ie. admin first then apply this in your creative field. There are so may laws and regulations in running a business. Also try to work in a florist for work experience before going on you own.

Bloomable hasn’t changed my business. Bloomable has added value in terms of technology and keeping up with the times. My business has grown since I have partnered with Bloomable... Cape Floral is totally committed to Bloomable as it is an important client! Cape Floral believes in giving the best service and quality at all times. We are passionate in what we do.

7. Knowing what you know now, would you say it was the right decision?
I could write a book... big changes from when I started to now!
