Flora Glynn florist started off over 30 years ago as a dream. Mrs. Robinson, the original
owner had a passion for flowers, and chose to give up her promising career as a branch
manager with the bank to pursue her passion for flowers.
I joined the business 2 years later. Having come from JHB Art Ballet and Music school, I had
a natural flair for creativity, so loved working with flowers as it allowed me to be as creative
as I wanted.
As the years have passed, we have grown and evolved with the industry to continue
providing our clients with service excellence. I set up a website, went on Interflora’s courses,
and became one of only 5 platinum florists’ in the country.
We have some clients who have continued to support us through the years despite the
competition out there because they know we go out of our way to ensure service excellence
and quality is always maintained.
We are fully aware of how hard this industry is, so every clients order is processed to a high
standard, thereby ensuring they will return.
Flora Glynn was established in 1989 – over 30 years ago, so we have seen the changes in the
industry – faced many challenges (Teleflorist closing being the latest one), but continue to
believe in the industry and continually strive to do our best for our clients.
We look forward to becoming part of the Bloomable family – and thank you for the
opportunity to join.
(I apologise if this is less than 500 words, but not much more I can say except for the fact
that we love what we do, we love working with flowers, we love the people we meet, the
difference that flowers can make it a person’s life – the comfort it offers those who are
mourning, or the joy it brings those celebrating new life, the happiness it gives those in love
etc. I honestly think we are very blessed to be in a position to work with the beauty of
flowers every single day!)
