Honeydew is an older suburb that lies amongst the northern suburbs of Boskruin and Sundowner in the North West Province.

Honeydew is a small town, often considered as a country-living village where visitors and locals can escape to from the business of Johannesburg or larger surrounding towns. There are many shopping malls nearby, although not within Honeydew’s borders, and the famous Cradle of Humankind is only a short drive north of the village-like town.

Lanseria Airport is only 14 kilometres north of Honeydew, which means a couple of minutes of driving, and Sandton is even closer at 4 kilometres. For visitors wanting some nature, Emmarentia Dam is 10 kilometres away, the Hartebeespoort Dam and the Magaliesberg Mountains are near enough for weekends away and the closer N1 allows visitors to travel almost anywhere in the North West and Guateng provinces from Honeydew.
